My name is Grace.
I am a yoga therapist and mental health professional
I offer Yoga therapy for all bodies, all ages and all abilities.
YOGA and WELL-BEING
The modern world can be a challenging place to find peace, and stress can seep into many layers of our lives affecting our emotional and physical well being. Research tells us that Yoga and Mindfulness can make stress feel more manageable and can help even on the most stressful of days.
WHY I LOVE YOGA
I have experienced first hand the healing power of yoga and mindfulness, and they supported my recovery from depression and anxiety. I started practising yoga after an anxiety breakdown at university. Yoga gave me not only a welcome break from these experiences but provided me with tools and a way to manage difficult symptoms and overwhelming feelings. I now try to practice these skills in daily life.
I believe Yoga can be preventative and curative, that it supports well being throughout the inevitable ups and downs of life. It offers effective tools that everyone can benefit from in all sorts of circumstances and I have been privileged to witness how these practices have helped others; adults and children from a variety of backgrounds with varying difficulties.
VALUES AND ETHOS
To me yoga is about how you feel, not what you look like or how flexible you are. There are so many benefits to these practices and I feel passionate that they should be available to everyone; regardless. Because once you have the 'know how' you can use yoga and mindfulness in any situation, wherever you are, to support your own health and well being.
OUR AMAZING BODIES
All beings and all bodies are different and we are as unique as our fingerprints. Yoga and mindfulness are magic in that they offer a variety of practices to suit different needs.
I work with you as an individual and meet you where you are, whether you have practised yoga before or are a complete beginner, and I welcome all parts of you, even the bits you want to get rid of. We all have those bits.
Unfortunately yoga is not always accessible for everyone in society and I want to change this! I believe that everyone can benefit from these practices and that therefore they should be available for everyone regardless of background, age or ability!! I work with a variety of issues and conditions and am interested in accessibility of yoga for marginalised groups. This is my mission, and why Kindful Yoga Therapy is for all bodies, all ages and all abilities. Everyone is welcome and I offer a sliding scale of prices depending on how much you can afford.
